Safety Rules for Bike MS Tour

As per the rules for Bike MS Tour 2011, the bikes first need to be inspected at an Official Bike Store, which is done at no cost. Once the bike is through the inspection requirements, an official inspection label will be placed on the bike. These bike inspections are strongly encouraged annually.

  • The minimum age is 12 to participate in the event.
  • Any equipment and accessories attached to a bicycle for transporting children and/or pets are not allowed as per the rules for Bike MS Tour 2011.
  • A parent or adult guardian must accompany eligible the young riders between the ages of 12-18 at all times.
  • All riders should obey all state and local traffic laws
  • Every rider must wear a bicycle helmet that fulfill the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission Safety Standard.
  • Headphones, cell phones, ear buds, radios and similar audio devices are not
